Show BICENTENNIAL FUNDS NEAR $5,000.00 MARK The Milford Business Ass'n. voted to give $100 to the Bicentennial Fund last Thursday, the largest sum to come In during the past week. Velma and Ross Patterson gave $25 and Wallace and Vickie F other ingham, $10, to bring the total donations to date to $4885.00, still short of the $7,000 needed. Chairman Gladys Whittak-er Whittak-er said that it is possible that some in-kind donation of equipment and supplies can be used as matching funds. However, she said, that still leaves us with better than a $1,000.00 to raise to get the whole $7,000 in matching funds from the state Bicen- tennial Committee. There is some talk that a plaque be placed on one project pro-ject listing all the names of contributors who donate over $25. At press time it had not been decided if this plan would be followed, or what the minumum donation would be to qualify for the plaque. She said that, "while pledges must be made within the next couple of weeks, it is not necessary that the money actually be made available, until the state monies arrive." Other pledges have included: includ-ed: Milford City $2000, Mil-ford Mil-ford Historical Society $1000, ESA Sorority $350, Lions $700, Lady Lions $300, Rebekahs and Oddfellows $100, Stan and Adrianne Roberts Rob-erts $100, B.P.W. $25, VFW Auxiliary $25, Helen Cook $10, Business Ass'n. $100, Youth Committee $150, Velma Vel-ma and Ross Patterson $25.
