Show E.I.S. DRAFT NOW READY ON NEW UTAH TRANS LINE The Department of the Interior's In-terior's Bureau of Land Management announced today to-day that a draft environmental environment-al statement concerning the proposed construction of a 230 KV power transmission line in southern Utah is now available to the public. The proposal would involve in-volve approximately 100 miles of new power transmission trans-mission line from Sigurd to Cedar City, said Paul L. Howard, BLM State Director for Utah . The transmission line would supply electrical power to communities In southern Utah and tie into California Pacific Utilities power grid. Written comments on the environmental statement will be accepted within the next 45 days and are being solicited from interested citizens and public agencies. Comments should be addressed ad-dressed to the Utah State Director, Di-rector, Bureau of Land Management, Man-agement, Federal Building, 125 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. A limited number of single copies of the draft environmental environ-mental statement may be obtained ob-tained from the Utah BLM State Director, Room 8239. Inspection copies will be available in the Richfield and Cedar City BLMDistrict Offices Of-fices and the BLM Washington, Washing-ton, D.C. Offices of Public Affairs. |
