Show The American Legion entertained en-tertained their wives at a steak fry on Wednesday, Auj. 18 at the stock grounds. An Open House will be held Sunday, August 29th from two p.m. until five at the home of Mrs. Bessie Pearson, in honor of the 79th birthday of Mr. Horace Corbidge. The public is invited. Mrs. Vie Marshall, and Margie Mar-gie spent last week in Salt Lake visiting her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Jolley and sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Mary Clark and family. fam-ily. Mrs. Merle Gillins and children chil-dren spent a few days in Salt Lake last week shopping and attending the circus. Mr. and Mrs. Oz Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Ven Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. John Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McMullin, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Davis and family spent the weekend in Salt Lake and attended the circus. Mrs. Daisy Gillins spent the weekend in Provo and Salt Lake with her daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Louise Mosher and son and family Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gillins. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman and children spent a few days last week in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Nelson and family have moved to Beaver. Mr. and Mrs Keith Dotson and family are living in the Nelson home. The annua County 4-H Fair activities got off with a bang, literally, on Friday July 31st with a rocket show. The Aerospace Aero-space club from Milford began the afternoon demonstrations by setting off the rockets they had made during the summer. Honors won at the Fair were: Style Dress Review, Shelley Roberts and Laurie Roberts, Beaver; Meal Preparation, Lyla Truman and Jull Albrecht, Minersville; Demonstrations, Sharon Strong: Public Speaking, Speak-ing, Grace Marshall, Minersville. Miners-ville. These girls will all go to Logan, September 17-19 for the 4-H competition. They have worked hard for this special trip and will represent our county well.
