Show COMMISSIONERS VOTE AGAINST PINE CREEK DEAL The Beaver County Commission Commis-sion on a motion by Comm. Tnirman Eyre turned down the Petitions of Phillips 66, Standard Oil Co. and Deseret Investors Group to redone the Pinecreek Interchange to H-l (Highway Service), to allow construction of businesses allowed al-lowed under that section of the zoning ordinance in the area. The Planning Commission had previously recommended that the petitions be granted.- Opening of bids on surplus property of Beaver County at 11:00 a.m. with bids accepted accept-ed from John Bradshaw of $250.00 for fe? truck and from Lenard Eriskson, $10.00 for the steel safe. The County Auditors submitted sub-mitted his proposed tax levy analysis showing revenues and disbursements and a proposal of 82 mills for the general fund and 2.0 mills for Capitol Improvement Reserve and after aft-er due consideration of the matter. It . was moved by Comm. Harris, and unanimously unanimous-ly passed that the mill levy for 1971 be set at 9.9 mills for general fund and 3.0 for capi- tol improvement. Other business included: Approved purchase of a new lawn mower for care and maintenance of the Courthouse grounds. Discussion with Mayor of Beaver City and Councilman Hal Lund who asked for help from the county road crew to seal Beaver City's streets. Comm. Harris to take charge. Ralph Rollins met with the Board and discussed the funding procedures of the Federal Fed-eral Aid and Collector Road Systems. The Chairman of the Board, acting as County Surveyor, Sur-veyor, appointed Mr. Rollins as County Road Engineer and authorized him to procure and execute the necessary forms for Collector and Federal Road Funds. Approved John White for job of cleaning the courthouse for $300.00. On completion of cleaning he is to get a raise in salary of $33.00 per month to keep the walls and windows clean. Signed Resolution having to do with the National Park Service Boundaries of Lake Powell and is in support of the Juan County Commissioners in establishing these boundaries. |
