Show MILFORD STATE BANK GIVES SCHOLARS $1,000 The Milford State Bank and the Beaver City Branch this wevk announced the recipients of the $1,000 scholarship given giv-en each year, which is divided among four county students, in the amount of $250 each. Two students are picked from each high school. Winners of scholarships in Milford this year were Jacalyn Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.' Ben Price and Vickie Raines, daughter of Mrs. Mary Raines. From Beaver High School, Darlene Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Carter of Minersville and Beverly Atkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La-var La-var Atkin of Beaver. The winners were announced by Jack Davis in Milford, who said, "There are no strings attached. The scholarships are good at the school of their choice, and for any course of study, regardless of any other scholarships." The students will be presented pre-sented with the scholarships at the awards assembly on Friday, May 28th by the high school principals. |
