Show MUGLESTON FAMILY BAND PLAYS BEFORE CROWD AT EMERSON They advertise themselves as "The Mugleston Family Band, Salt Lake City's Own," but mama says she hails, from Milford, Mil-ford, and she's proud of it, and we might add, proud of her five youngsters who make up the combo. Playing before the theatre crowd at the Emerson Saturday night, they played some old-time old-time favorites and displayed a real flair for showmanship. The combo comprises the children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Mugleston, Mrs. Mugleston was the former Jessie Capron, daughter of Mrs. Thelma Rogers Rog-ers who still lives in Milford. Mrs,. Mugleston said the combo com-bo started 4 years ago when she decided this was the way to keep the family together. The kids Bob, 15; Desiree, 13; Blaine, 12; Troy, 8 and Lance, 6, performed on the Ted Mack talent show in Salt Lake and have an invite to New York for an appearance on the Original Orig-inal Amateur Hour. Other engagements en-gagements were with Donald O'Connor at the Valley Music Hall and locally around the Salt Lake area. They were in Milford for arrowhead hunting and visiting relatives when the urge to perform per-form in mama's home town got the best of them. |
