Show MOTHER, DAUGHTER, DIE WITHIN WEEK Mrs. Mary W. Eyre and Mrs, Duella E. Hamblin, mother and daughter and former Miners-ville Miners-ville residents, died within a week of each other. Mrs. Eyre died Jan. 16 in a Salt Lake nursing home of natural nat-ural causes, and Mrs. Hamblin died Jan. 11 at her home in Murray. Mary Alice Walker Eyre, 97, was born May 15, 1872, in Min-ersville Min-ersville to Hyrum Alonzo and Mary Jerusha Wood Walker. She married Joseph William Eyre, May 14, 1890, in Miners-ville. Miners-ville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He died Jan. 25, 1930. She was a Temple worker and former Ward Primary president. pres-ident. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: H. Gerald, Rawlins, Wyo.; Donald, Salt Lake; L. W. "Pat," Murray; Mrs. R. B. (Buelah) Duff, and Mrs. L. L. (Theo) Witte, Los Angeles; Mrs. A. A. (Arvilla) Shelley, American Fork; Mrs. F. H. (Carrie) Buchanan, Casper, Cas-per, Wyo.; Mrs. T. K. (Velda), Hatch, South San Gabriel, Cal.; 24 grandchildren, 61 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; six great-greatgrandchildren; sisters Mrs. J. W. (Lucy) Burns and Mrs. Henry (Amy) Baker, Salt Lake, and Mrs. Clinton (Ver-na) (Ver-na) Thompson, Minersville. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday in Salt Lake. Interment was in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake. Mrs. Duella Eyre Hamblin, 75, was born Oct. 23 ,1894, in Minersville, to Joseph W. and Mary Alice Walker Eyre. She married Henry Marcine Hamblin, Hamb-lin, Aug. 25, 1920, in Evanston, Wyo. She was a former member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and a member of the DUP. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Ivan Mar-cene, Mar-cene, La Puente, Cal.; H. Dale, Green River, Wyo.; Mrs. William Wil-liam Grant (Geraldine) Ban-gerter, Ban-gerter, Granger; Mrs. Noal A. (Darlene) Anderson, Murray; 25 grandchildren, brothers and sisters Donald, L. W. (Pat). Salt Lake; H. Gerald (Dag), Rawlins, Wyo.; Mrs. Frank Buchanan, Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. ' A. A. Shelly, American Fork; Mrs. R. B. Duff, Mrs. L. L. White and Mrs. Therls Hatch, Los Angeles. Funeral services were held Wednesday of last week in Murray. Burial was in the Elysian Burial Gardens. |
