Show ROY YOUNG HEADS TV GROUP Ci'y Councilman Roy Young vas named chairman of the il ord Television Committee at the regular meeting of the ,-ity council Monday evening. The committee is made up members of the city council, except for Councilman Swain, vho declined to serve and ap- intcd Jack Davis in his place, d Councilman Jimenez, who appointed O. C. Koch. In other business the council agreed to a meeting with horse owners and the Lions Club regarding re-garding repair of s'ables at the race track, and use of the stables during race meets; Glen Asay, representing th; Junior Old Timers, advised that proceeds from a Talent Show to be presented Saturday would go toward purchase of Christinas decorations for Main Street, and asked that the city council participate in the project proj-ect with matching funds. The City Dads expressed great interest, in-terest, but asked for prices on proposed purchases before giving giv-ing a definite commitment. Delmar Kirk asked the city to consider extension of water and sewer lines to lots he owns in the northwest and northeast sections of the city, which he planned to develop. The council coun-cil took the matter under advisement. ad-visement. The recorder was instructed to call for bids from Milford-licensed Milford-licensed dealers for furnishing a new patrol car for the city, and also to contact the state purchasing agent. After discussing problems a,1 the Little League park, the city dads authorized expenditure of $300 toward repairs and improvements. |
