Show WEST BEAVER LAUDED BY STATE CANCER CHIEF The West Beaver County unit of the American Cancer Society has gone over the top in its 1969 Cancer Crusade fund drive and helped the Utah Division achieve its goal of $200,000 for the first time in the division's history. Rendell N. Mabel state Crusade chairman, said this success was made possible by the efforts and dedicated work of the vounteer workers work-ers directed by Dixie Lamb as Crusade chairman and Mrs. Vilate Lang as county unit chairman. He complimented residents of the county area for their generosity gen-erosity in the struggle to find a cure for cancer and to educate edu-cate the public to the dangers and warning signals of the malignant ma-lignant disease, which can often be successfully treated if caught in time. "We salute all those who worked so hard to make thi the most successful cancer campaign cam-paign in the state's history." Mr. Mabey said. "These efforts have drawn us a little closer to that day when the riddle of cancer will be solved." ' ' The West Beaver unit collected col-lected more than 102 of it-1969 it-1969 Crusade goal of $535. Funds collected by the Utah Division are usad to help support sup-port medical and scientific research into cancer, to heir take care of cancer patients and to provid" od' icnt ior.al p--o grams to the public.
