Milford grandmother Mrs. Mary McCulley left Friday Fri-day by plane to spend a week assisting at the home. Mr. Ep-pich Ep-pich has accepted employment as a chemist with Miles Laboratories Lab-oratories at Elkhart, Ind., effective ef-fective April 15, and will also continue work toward his Ph.D. degree. Mrs. Hampton Burke spent two days is Las Vegas visiting Mrs. Mary Morford, and called on the Daryl Cropper family. Mr. Cropper was formerly a Milford High School teacher. Mrs. Burke also visited a cousin, cous-in, Mrs. Dorothy James and Leonard and Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Lee, all of Seal Beach, Calif., and friends in the Los Angeles area. She was gone about two weeks. , turned to Milford after spending spend-ing the winter in -s Vegas and California. Accompanying ' her were her son, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Smyth and three children and Mrs. Smyth's father, Mr. Eauer, all of Woodland Hills, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Mary Crookston of Las Vegas. e Mrs. Elaine Swartz and baby Sheryl of Salt Lake are spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Read Gillins, and brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Normand Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. George Bush have returned from a business and pleasure trip. In Goldfield, Nev., they attended sessions of the Grand Chapter of the Eastern East-ern Star, and in Timpiute, Mr. Bush was mill consultant at the General Resource Mill. Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Thurston Thurs-ton of Bountiful were here two days last week end, visiting his father, Ross Thurston, who was a patient in the Milford Valley Hospital. Ross was released Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis left Tuesday for Salt Lake on a business and pleasure trip. Rev. William Persons, District Dis-trict Superintendent of the Methodist Church with headquarters head-quarters in Salt Lake, was a guest of Rev. and Mrs. Jim Sloan from Thursday to Saturday, Sat-urday, while here on church business. j e Mrs. Ida Smith spent a week in Salt Lake with her husband Bill. He is now spending his two week vacation in Milford. Mrs. Vella Stephenson of Salt Lake spent several days last week with Mrs. Mae Col-born. Col-born. i Mrs. Sallie Lee Chaffin and son Jimmy Earl of Henderson, Nev., spent several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams and son Steven, and her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atkin and children. Mrs. Chaffin, a Henderson, Nev., school teacher, teach-er, was here during Easter vacation. va-cation. m Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Banks and baby Jason of Salt Lake spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Banks. Mrs. Richard Banks accompanied ac-companied them back to Salt Lake to attend Primary Conference. Con-ference. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wright and two children have moved to Afton City, where Mr. Wright is a heavy equipment operator for Union Pacific. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Gillins Gil-lins and daughter Kathy spent the week end in Logan with their son and daughter in law, Keith and Connie Gillins. Mr. and Mrs.J ohn Beitz recently spent 10 days in Corona, Co-rona, Calif., visiting his broth- Mr. and Mrs. John Beitz C Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Cope-land Cope-land of Santa Rosa, Calif., are here visiting old friends. Mr. Copeland, a former Union Pacific Pa-cific dispatcher, will be honored hon-ored and presented a 50-year membership pin at the Masonic banquet Saturday evening. She is here between school quarters. O Rodney B. Johnson, U P employee, em-ployee, has rented the late Joe Ballinger house. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Freeman Free-man have moved their trailer home to the Heber Yardley rental lot. Gene and Lloyd Mayer, H. Naruse and Bill Dalton left Tuesday for San Jacinto, Cal., to attend the annual meeting of the Utah Hi-Valley Seed Potato Po-tato Association. Mrs. Russell M. Sly and children Jeffrey, Becky and Carolyn, formerly of Minneapolis, Minneap-olis, Minn., are at the home of her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly. Russell has been transferred to Seattle, Wash., where he is a pilot for Northern Airlines. Mr. and Mrs. Rolan Larsen and daughters Lori and Jodi were in Salt Lake at the home of their son, Steve and Jetta Larsen and daughter Christi They also visited friends Mr' and Mrs. Roland Culver and Jerri Memmott.
