Show Merrill Jameson SERVICES HELD FOR MERRILL JAMESON Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Minersville LDS Chapel for Merrill Morse Jameson, 78, who died March 27 in a Milford hospital following fol-lowing a stroke. The services, under direction of Thurman Eyre, were as follows: fol-lows: Prayer at the home, Richard Jameson. Prelude and postlude music, Mrs. Eleanor Marshall. Invocation, Floyd Wood. Mixed quartet, "I Know My Redeemer Lives," Milton Al-brecht, Al-brecht, Lee Marshall, Mrs. Sylvia Davis and Mrs. Wilma Davis .accompanied by Mrs. Marshall. Obituary. Mrs. Alvarctta Robinson. Speaker, Carlyle Gronning. Organ and. piano duet, Mrs. Marshall and daughter Kcnda. Remarks. Bishop Albrecht. "The Lord's Prayer,'' by the Singing Mothers, accompanied by Mrs. Phyllis Truman. Benediction. Dan Davis. The grave in the Minersville Cemetery was dedicated by Ralph Pearson. Flowers were cared for by the Relief Society. Pallbearers were ValGene and Garth Limb, Raymond Baker, Allen Jameson, Richard Jameson and Jon Holilngshead. Honorary pallbearers were the High Priests and grandsons Scott and Brian Jameson and Russell Limb. Mr. Jameson was born in Minersville Nov. 1, 1890, to George Simeon and Rebakah Ellen Banks Jameson. He married mar-ried Ilcen Gressman Sept. 2, 1913, in the St. George Temple. Mr. Jameson was a farmer and miner, and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was active in civic and church affairs, served two terms on the Minersville Town Board, and was Town Board President Presi-dent at the time the Town Hall was built. He served as Sunday School superintendent, twice as counsellor; coun-sellor; senior president of the 12th Quorum of Seventies, and as counsellor in the MIA. He served a mission in the Northern California mission field, and for 10 years was stake missionary. Surviving are his widow, Minersville; a son and daughter, daugh-ter, George Vic, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Bernice Limb. Wendover, Utah; nine grandchildren grand-children and five great-grandchildren; and three brothers. Charles, Bernard and Delbert Jameson, all of Minersville. |
