Show Beaver County Cattlemens Assn. Meeting March 4 The Beaver County Cattlemens Cattle-mens Association is sponsor-i sponsor-i ing educational meetings in cooperation with the USU Extension Ex-tension Service on Monday, March 4th, according to Ralph Pearson, President. The first meeting will be held in the Community Center in Beaver at 1:30 P.M. and will feature Darwin Nielsen, Professor of Agricultural Economics Eco-nomics USU and Paul Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, Extension Livestock Marketing Specialist. Dr. Nielsen Niel-sen will report on a study of livestock grazing fees on public pub-lic ranges as compared to leasing leas-ing private ranges. He has also recently authored a bulletin on the economics of range improvements. im-provements. Paul Grimshaw will discuss marketing beef cattle and management of beef set ups. A second meeting will be held in the Minersville school at 7:30 P.M. At this meeting Karl Parker, Extension Range Specialist and Grant Esplin, USU Extension Agent for Bea- ver County and Area Livestock Live-stock Agent will discuss nutritional nutri-tional requirements of beef cattle, nutritional values of range plants and supplemental feeds on ranges. All interested people are invited to attend both sessions. |
