Show TREES AVAILABLE FOR FARM WINDBREAKS The Utah State Forestry and Fire Control Section operates i a tree nursery at Green Canyon, Can-yon, three miles north of Logan, Lo-gan, which provides trees and shrubs to persons wanting to plant windbreaks around farm and ranch property, and also to persons interested in raising rais-ing Christmas trees for profit. The seedlings, mostly one to three years old, are lifted from the ground during April, bundled bun-dled and prepared for shipping to applicants. The small charge for these trees is $4 to $8 per hundred. Richard S. Greenland, Utah State Forester at Richfield, announced that information concerning the program may be obtained at any County Extension Ex-tension office, Forest Service office, or ASC or SCS office. Application forms may be had from the County Extension office of-fice or by writing him at Room 14, Professional Building, 146 North Main, Richfield. Applications should be made in the near future to insure 1 shipment in April. |
