Show 1 MONDAY WILL BE CANCER DRIVE DAY "Ring the bells and tell the people." That will be the theme when Milford and Minersville volunteers volun-teers knock on doors next week in the annual Cancer Crusade drive for research and treatment funds. In Milford, ladies of the Rebekah Lodge will make their calls on Monday, Mon-day, April 10, and in Minersville Miners-ville Mrs. Aletha Gillins and her volunteers will make their calls on the same day. Mayor Ira M. Fisher of Milford, Mil-ford, in proclaiming April as Cancer Control Month, urged . the support of every resident to "help fight cancer with a checkup and a check." Of the moneys collected here, 25 will be used for national research, 15 for national na-tional programs and services, and the remaining 60 will be retained in Utah for local cancer can-cer programs. During the April Crusade, life-saving facts about cancer will be delivered to every home and in the same time voluntary contributions will be invited to help wage the fight against cancer. |
