Soulier, U P Agricultural Agent, at the recent Future Farmers of America convention. KEITH DALTON GETS V P SCHOLARSHIP Keith Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland W. Dalton of Minersville, was among 14 young Ulahns who were awarded award-ed Union Pacific Railroad Scholarships at the Future Farmers of America convention in Salt Lake Friday of last week. Keith is a student at Beaver High School. The awards were made by Wesley D. Soulier, Union Pacific Pa-cific Agricultural Agent. Mr. Soulier said the railroad awards two of the $200 scholarships schol-arships each year in each of the 198 counties it serves in the West to encourage talented students to further their education edu-cation in agricultural and allied al-lied fields. They may be used at Utah State University, College Col-lege of Southern Utah, Snow College, or any of 12 other land grant colleges in the West. Since the railroad started the scholarship program in 1922 more than 10,000 scholarships have been awarded, with more than 1100 of them given in Utah. |
