IN MINERSVILLE As Reported By OWEN PRYOR & & & m m m m -1 Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins announce the birth of their second granddaughter, born to Scott and Penny Patterson Brown in Sacramento, Calif. Lila Truman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, enjoyed her 11th birthday with a party on Jan. 30th. Gary Gillins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins, had his 10th birthday party on Jan. 31. Mrs. Emily Dotson , is in Salt Lake this week' getting acquainted' with her new grand son, born last week to Butch and Beth Ashworth. Mrs. Albateen Roberts is in Salt Lake visiting her children. chil-dren. Mrs. Amanda Nolder is spending the week in Cedar City with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murdoch. Those attending funeral services ser-vices in Pioche last week for Jay Rollins were Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. Daisel Davis. Mrs. Ella Wood accompanied accompa-nied Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson Rob-inson of Beaver to Salt Lake Sunday to visit a sick relative. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Black-. burn are in Durango, Cola., with their daughter, Jackie Mulr, who is seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Carter and daughters of Salt Lake have moved to Minersville and will live in the former Drue Hall home. Allen is employed at the K & R Service Station. Mr. nad Mrs. H. J. Pryor and Gaye motored to Ely Sunday Sun-day to visit Mr. and Mrs. Byron By-ron Limb and Sheri. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson Jame-son spent Monday in Salt Lake visiting their granddaughter, grand-daughter, Karma O'Leary. Mr. and Mrs. Brose Dalton of Mesa, Ariz., visited in town Monday thru Wednesday with Mrs. Bill Dalton and other relatives. Bill Dalton and Stanley Stan-ley are in Arizona this week on busines. David Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Marshall, who is attending trade school in Provo, was home over the week end. Jan and Kathy Truman, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, were home from the BYU over the week end. A surprise birthday party honoring Mrs. Ethel Mathews was held Jan. 31 at the home of Mrs. LaRue Thompson, e Mountain States Telephone Co. announced that direct distance dis-tance dialing would not be effective ef-fective in Minersville until a later date. |
