Show UTAH ODD FELLOWS SIGN CONTRACT FOR SENIOR CITIZEN ' APARTMENT BLDG. Utah's Odd Fellows signed a contract Monday for construction con-struction of a 13-story 136-unit Senior Citizens' housing unit to be constructed in Ogden. Low bidder at $1,488,900 was Finkard Construction Co. of Denver, whose bid was only $1,000 less than that of the Lembke Construction Co., also of Denver. Highest of the 12 bids was $1,741,941, submitted by M. Morin & Son of Ogden. Construction will start immediately im-mediately after review of the bid by the Community Facilities Facili-ties Administration cf the Department De-partment of Housing . and Urban Ur-ban Development. The contractor con-tractor will have 430 calendar days to complete the construction, construc-tion, placing completion about the fall of 1968. The complex will include j lounge rooms on each floor I where tenants can meet to socialize. so-cialize. On the top floor or penthouse section there will be an outside deck where the residents res-idents may sun themselves or enjoy the vitw. Rental will be approximately $69 a month for bachelor apartments and proportionately pro-portionately higher for one-and one-and two-bedroom units. R. H. Ruth of Milford, secretary sec-retary of the Grand Lodge of Utah and of the Utah Odd Fellows Housing, Inc., said the senior Odd Fellows and Re-bekahs Re-bekahs will be offered first choice of rentals, but it is anticipated an-ticipated many non-Odd Fellows Fel-lows will occupy some of the unijs. |
