Show ,ROSE BUYING GUIDE OFFERED FREE The American Rose Society has available for the first time an autumn edition of the society's so-ciety's Guide for Buying Roses. The 1967 edition is now available in time for use with the early spring rose catalogs. With a new design and expanded ex-panded format, the 1967 Buying Buy-ing Guide lists an dclassifies by color and type, all roses available on the American market, including those varieties vari-eties to be introduced in 1967. The Guide for Buying Roses fives pertinent information on more than 1,000 rose varieties, including height of plant, color, horticultural classification, classifica-tion, and the valuable American Ameri-can Rose Society's national ratings. The national rating of each variety represents an average score from a compilation compila-tion of votes by American Rose Society members thruout the nation- Roses are rated on a ten-point scale, with ten being the perfect, but so far unobtainable, score. Added features in the 1967 Guide for Buying Roses include complete descriptions of all the 1967 All-American Rose Selections winners and a separate listing by color of the highest rated scores.
