Show Baxter and three children of Morgan; Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Mclntyre and three children and Craig Baxter, of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter. Virginia Baxter of Salt Lake was a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter. Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Marvel Connell and Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Galloway attended the district dis-trict convention of the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers held in Hurricane last Saturday. 6 John Horion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Horton, has enroled in the Trade Tech at Provo, studying carpentry. M. M. Treat has returned from a trip. He visited his children, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Treat and Mrs. Ruby Inman in Grand Junction, Colo., and the family of Thomas Treat at Lamar, Colo. His brother, DeLmar Treat of Salida, Colo., is now visiting in Milford with Mr. Treat. I Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson Ander-son and Jerry and Leslie Anderson An-derson will return this week end after being in Uinta Park, Calif., where Mrs. Anderson underwent major surgery. Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson will live in their newly purchased house, the former house of Uie D. A. lowles, 217 South 300 West Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bridge will move into their newly purchased house, the Leo Mc-Vey Mc-Vey house at 421 South 200 West. Mr. McVey will live in one of the Hughes apartments for the present time. t Grandma Ethel J. Smith received re-ceived word that she was a new grandma. A daughter, Kelly Ann Smith, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Owen R. Smith Jr. at San Castro Valley, Calif. The couple have adopted adopt-ed two babies and the two are Now Chere, 6 years old, and Tracy, 5 years old. Mrs. Smith plans to visit the little one at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Williams Wil-liams returned last Sunday from a 10-day vacation trip to Colorado where they called on relatives. Fred Gilliam is now in Milford Mil-ford with his family. t Mrs. Irene Stewart is moving into her newly purchased house Alfred Martin. Mrs Kandall Banks was also in Milford Mil-ford and she stayed at the home of a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Winkl-moved Winkl-moved into the rental house of A. D. Carter, formerly occupied oc-cupied by Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Patterson. The Pattersons have moved into the Nay home 51 South 400 West. Mrs. LaRae Orton and daughter Troy of Ely visited in Milford with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clauss Marshall. Mrs. Orton and daughter, Mrs. Marshall Mar-shall and another daughter, Connie Marshall, all went into Salt Lake and were house guests of Mrs. Marshall's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Halley. Connie Marshall will enroll for her senior year at the CSU in Cedar City. She is majoring major-ing in physical education. Arlan Marshall is in the U. S. Service stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. He sent word to his- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clauss Marshall, that he would be home in November prior tolas to-las .assignment to overseas duty. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Smith of Ogden were in Milford for several sev-eral days this week. Mrs. Ruby Ashworth spent a few days in Milford at the home of friends, Mr. and Mrs. ICimmel Coon. Mr. and Mrs. George Bush were visiting in their former home, Rico, Colo. Mr. Bush was the superintendent of a mine there for 2Vi years. While there they were entertained by friends at a pot luck dinner, They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Johnke. The Bush couple also made a tour before returning home in the Capital Reef area, Navajo Indian Reservation, Glen Canyon, Can-yon, Page, and others in the area. a Mr. and Mrs. Warren Atkin were in me noruiern parr 01 the state. In Provo they attended at-tended to business and in Salt Lake they visited with their children. A son in law, Max Williams, has had to undergo another back surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Leany have moved to Cedar City where he is working for Rice Machinery Co. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schow have purchased the former house of Mrs. Angie (Root) Church. Leon and Dorothy Williams and nine children of Mira Loma, Calif., were in Milford for a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schow. Elaine Schow will attend her second year at Weber College in Ogden, and Boyd Schow the former house of Bud Beal-er, Beal-er, 626 South 500 West. 0 Mrs. Phyllis Keetch has been on a trip. She was in Las Vegas visiting with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Keetch and children and in Pleasant Grove she called on family members. Mrs. Naomi Hughes and Mrs. Dorothy Morris attended the ESA state council meeting in Vernal and while there called on the Lee Pettey family and saw Dinosaurland. A new family in town are Carl and Emma Jane Boyter and three daughters and a son Gay, Gale, Tammy and Lee. The family have been living in Beaver and Mr. Boyter Is employed em-ployed on the U. P. Railroad. They purchased the Mack Thompson home. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hutchings of Ely were last wek callers at the home of his brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Glenn. Newly marrieds, Jerry and Janice Mayer, will live in one f the Maurice Gray apartments, apart-ments, 223 South 200 West. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Foster nd children have moved back to their home in Cedar City. Delmar Kirk is now at home after a major operation in Salt Lake and is recuperating very nicely. Mrs. Margie Thompson has been in Salt Lake because of we illness of a child of her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Clark. Mrs. Dora Pol has been in fealt Lake because of the illness ill-ness of a sister in law, Mrs. will enroll at the C.S.U. in Cedar Ce-dar City for his first year of college. Both teen agers of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schow. Mrs. Vie Medley and Mrs. Ruth Long of Ely spent three days in Milford with Mrs. Medley's brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gil-lins. Gil-lins. 0 Mr. and Mrs. John Weston attended the funeral of Mr. Weston's 88 year old sister, Mrs. Cardelea Beckstrom, last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wal-beck Wal-beck have moved from Milford. Bill Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Myers, enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and has left for Lackland Air Force 1 Base, San Antonio, Texas. O Laura Lee Erickson was born to Keith and Beverly Erickson at the Beaver Hospital Sept. 15th, weighing in at 7 lbs, 4i4 oz. Mrs. Erickson has been released from the hospital but Laura Lee remained because of an infection, but is now doing do-ing very nicely. Grandparents Mr and Mrs. James Hardy have been in Beaver assisting. 0 Doug Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter, enlisted en-listed in the U S Air Force and before leaving for Lackland Lack-land Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas, a family gathering gath-ering was enjoyed in Salt Lake and a dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs. Mike Daley, attended at-tended by Mr. and Mrs. Chas. |
