Show THIS WEEK 1 IN MINERSVILLE As Reported By GWEN PRYOR Ralph and Dorothy (Eyre) Bowcutt and daughter Colleen cf Lake Tahoe, Nev., visited over the week end with her father, Rulon Eyre, and other relatives. O Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Goff motored mo-tored to Salt Lake to meet their son Don, who is returning return-ing from a tiwo year mission in the Eastern States. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ashley Jr. motored to California last week to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ashley Sr. O Mr. and Mrs. Don Charles and children of Henderson, Nov., visited briefly last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood, en route to Iowa to visit his parents. Mr. and Mrs.' Earl Limb spent the week end in Salt Lake with their children, Kent and Judy Limb and family. 9 Delmar and Ilene Gray and sons Justin and Kenneth motored mo-tored to Santaquin Wednesday to attend funeral services for Ilene's nephew, Hal Lamb, who was killed Sunday in an auto accident. O Mr. and Mrs. Kay Benson and children of Ogden are visiting her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gil-lins. Gil-lins. They are here because of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Edna Crosby. O Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Myers and family of Laramie, Wyo., are visiting her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dalton. Mrs. Loretta Myers of Coltcn,- Calif., is also visiting here this week. O Mr. and Mrs. David Mc-Knight Mc-Knight of San Diego, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Scott McKnlght of Bountiful,; Mrs. Eve Hendricks Hen-dricks of Provo and Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian McKnight of Sandy are here to be with Stan McKnight who is confined to the Milford Valley Hospital for treatment of burns suffered when his truck caught fire. Mrs. Frieda Wood is happy to have her mother, Mrs. Nancy Zuagjj of Peterson, visiting her. O American Legion Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Shirley Shir-ley Hollingshead. Installation cf officers was conducted, with Mrs. Effie Marshall, past .president, .pres-ident, as installing officer. Ladies La-dies seated were Mrs. Florence Wood, president; Mrs. Leola Gillins, vice president; Mrs. Lynnea Marshall, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. Dorothy Wood, sergeant at arms; Mrs. Nellie Hollingshead, chaplain, and Mrs. Effie Wood, historian. Larry Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Carter, enjoyed his ninth birthday with a party on May lGth. Mark Truman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, also celebrated his ninth birthday with a party on May 12th. Shane Lamb, 4 year old grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Har-ry Thompson, proved to be the best angler from these parts when he reeled in, with the help of his grandfather, a 7 lb 13 oz rainbow trout at the Minersville Min-ersville reservoir. There have been many good catches at the reservoir this year, but Shane's was the biggest fish weighed in at Pryor's Merc. ' |
