Show RUSSELL SLY CITED FOR SKILL IN PLANE FIRE "The skillful and professional profession-al handling of an emergency aboard a C-54 aircraft" resulted in a special safety award being given to Lt. Russell M. Sly and two of his crewmen at Sheppard Shep-pard Air Force Base, Texas. On Feb. 8 the plane, commanded com-manded by Lt. Sly, experienced an electrical fire, the crew compartment filled with smoke and navigation aids were lost. "Lt.
