Show GIA INSTALLS OFFICERS FOR 1964 The G I A to the Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotive Engineers installed their 1964 officers Thursday evening, Jan. 9. Previous Pre-vious to the installation a dinner din-ner was enjoyed at the Hong Kong Cafe and afterward the ladies retired to the home of Mrs. Garnet Garfield for the installation and social. Mrs. Maude Mills, immediate past president, was installing officer and Mrs. Marvel Con-nell, Con-nell, marshall, presented the new officers as follows: Mrs. Vera Cooper, president; Mrs. Mae Colborn, vice president; Mrs. Maude Mills, past president; presi-dent; Mrs. Florence Barnes, secretary; Mrs. Garnetta Hollis, treasurer; Mrs. Wanda Holm, relief secretary; Mrs. Ruby Ashworth, chaplain; Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Coon, guide; Mrs. Marvel Connell, sentinel. Appointive officers include Mrs. Margaret Lund arid Mrs. Kate McDonald, marshals; Mrs. Garnet Garfield, flag bearer; Mrs. Eva Banks, musician; Mrs. Magdalena White, Mrs. Ethel AiHam, Mrs. Esther Blake and Mrs. Vera Vincent, pillars; Mrs. Freda Smith and Mrs. Ruby Ashworth, sick committe; Mrs. Garnet Garfield, Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Coon and Mrs. Kate McDonald, Mc-Donald, auditing committee. Mrs. Mills presented each of the 18 members present with a lovely gift. After the installation and a short business meeting bridge and pinochle were played. Winners Win-ners at cards were Mrs, Ashworth Ash-worth and Mrs. Garfield, at bridge, Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Holm, pinochle, and Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Hollis received the special prizes. |
