Show SAVINGS BONDS SALES TCP LAST YEAR Ulahns continued to purchase U S Savings Bonds in March at a faster rate than a year a?o, according to State Bonds Chairman Frederick P. Champ in a report to J. C. Smith, vice president of the Milford State Bank and West Beaver County Bonds Chairman. "Of the state's March sales total of $1,096,676, Beaver County's share was reported at $4811, bringing our three-month three-month total to $21,827 or 29.1 or the year's goal," Mr. Smith said. Mr. Smith also emphasized the importance of participation by all citizens in the Freedom Bond Drive, to be opened locally lo-cally May 1 and continue until July Fourth. "During the drive every American will be urged to buy extra bonds, join the Bond-A-Month plan at his bank or the payroll savings plan where he works," Mr. Smith said. "The wide-spread sale of savings bonds plays a key part in the strength of our economy, econ-omy, which in turn supports our defense efforts," he said. |
