Show THIS AND THAT . . . WITH PAT O Mrs. Thurland D. Sly was in Salt Lake last week to so; her son and daughter in law. Lt. and Mrs. Russell M. Sly, off by airliner for Sculthorpe Air Base, in Norwich, England. En route they will spend a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Monty Ashworth in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam were in Salt Lake last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilliam were in Pioche, Nev., to see an aunt, Mrs. Lula Unthank. 9 Mrs. Howard Bingham of-Klamath of-Klamath Falls, Oregon, broke her leg after returning from-funeral from-funeral services for her brother broth-er in law, Tine Bingham, at Sun Valley, Calif. Father Valine is in the northern nor-thern part of California attending at-tending funeral services for a school classmate. He will return re-turn to Milford this week end. Mr. and Mrs. Florin Bingham Bing-ham returned to Milford last Thursday after attending, funeral fun-eral services in Sun Valley, Calif., for their son Tine. They remained in California for a while after the services visiting visit-ing Florin's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Prank Roberts in Van nuys, other sisters in Long Beach and Garden Grove, and their daughter, Mrs. Peggy Malsi of Los Angeles; a son, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham of Pacoima. Other sons of the Binghams attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bingham, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs Waldo Blackburn, Seattle; Allen Al-len Bingham, Floydada, Texas. Their son Gary was unabie to attend, as he in in military service assigned to Japan. This weeks visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam are Mrs. Killam's brother broth-er in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Ashworth of Idaho Falls. Mrs. Euzell Thomas has returned re-turned to her home in Beaver after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Simpkins of Cedar City were also at the Gillins home over the week end. 9 Dwight Lemmon, a U S in Salt Lake a while before joining .h i s parents. Mrs. Smith, a former Milford resident, resi-dent, was a house guest of Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Davie while here. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ruth attended at-tended the National Jeep Search and Rescue Convention in Phoenix, Ariz., last Thursday Thurs-day through Sunday. Mr, Ruth is Beaver County jeep Patrol comander. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilliam motored to Denver, Colo., to get their son Fred, and all are now back in Milford. Delance Terry and two friends of Enterprise were in Milford to call on Mr. Terry's sister, Miss Bonita Terry, a Milford school teacher. O Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Vernon last week were Mrs. Vernon's brother and sister sis-ter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Mead Stevens of Rawlins, Wyo., and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Blomberg of Los Angeles. Mrs. Blomberg is the former Evelyn Vernon. Mrs. Maxine Barton was in Draper to see for the first time a half-sister Mrs. Edward Ash. Mr. and Mrs. Ash, of Fort Bragg, Calif., were en route on vacation. Mrs. Barton's Bar-ton's father moved to California Cali-fornia and re-married. 9 Mrs. Elva Sedgwick is seriously seri-ously ill in the Utah Valley Hospital at Provo. She received re-ceived five pints of blood from the Red Cross Blood Bank, on on exchange basis for blood credits of the Beaver County Hospital. geologist, is now in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Leeper and four children of Hemet, Calif., were in Milford four days at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Ben Briscoe. Arriving in Milford the first part of May to spend the summer sum-mer will be Mrs. Marie Lewis and Mrs. Harriet Tanner of Claremont, Calif.; and Mrs. Clara Whittaker of Hollywood. The three ladies plan to rent the former Weston Paice home. O Mr. and Mrs. John Jones have purchased the Charles Posey home at 352 South 500 West. The home formerly was owned by Mr. 'and Mrs. Vance Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Posey are living in their old home. O The U P roundhouse whistle now' blows at 7 a. m. and 3 p. . m., instead of the former 8 and 4 times. The change is due to rescheduling of passenger passen-ger trains 9 and 10, now listed as trains 103 and 104. S Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hanney returned from Salt Lake Sunday Sun-day evening. They were called to the Capital City because of the serious illness of their daughter, Beverly Chidester, who is now recuperating. Mrs. Lottie Brown of Los Angeles was a Milford visitor at the home of her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hanney. O Mrs. Charles W. Smith of Salt Lake was here a few days calling on old friends and attending at-tending the wedding of Louise Brinkman and Edward Radke. Mrs. Smith plans to join her husband in Jidda, Arabia, where he is employed by the Arabian government. She and her daughter, Heidi, will visit at her home in Munich, Germany, Ger-many, before going to Arabia. Another son, Fred, will remain |
