Show SCHOOL PANEL WILL FEATURE MENTAL PATIENTS Several patients from the State Mental Hospital at Provo will appear on a panel to discuss dis-cuss "Causes and Cures of Mental Illness," at 11 a. m. Monday, April 29, in the Milford Mil-ford High School auditorium. The senior class, with Jesse Long as faculty advisor, is sponsoring the panel, and seniors sen-iors and juniors, along with Milford townspeopile, will hear the discussion. "This discussion is open to the general public and should prove to be very interesting and enlightening," Mr. Long said. "Mental problems are the No. 1 illness in our country coun-try today, but it has now been found that by proper treatment, treat-ment, education, and rehabilitation, rehabili-tation, vast numbers of our mental patients are able to live normal lives in society. "Society itself," he continued, contin-ued, "through educational programs, pro-grams, has been brought to a realization that mental problems prob-lems are not immune to any one person in our present civilization. civ-ilization. It is our individual responsibility to do our part in educating ourselves to a better understanding of our No. 1 national illness." |
