Show many others. 1 "M" DAY Coming up in the near future fu-ture is "M Day," a yearly activity ac-tivity in which all students have an opportunity to participate. partici-pate. The day usually starts out with clean-up crews going about the school yard and cleaning out the garbage and the debris that careless students stu-dents and the wind have left to detract from the appearance of our school. Also in the afternoon the annual students' track meet, in which classes will compete against each other in field and track activities. So plan to get out and work, students, on Wednesday, May 1. JUNIORS CHOOSE RINGS Tuesday aftrenoon the Jun--ior Class met with Mr. O. C. Tanner to choose their Senior rings. Mr. Tanner showed a variety of rings. The final decision de-cision was a striking ring with a twist style. VOCATIONAL DAY The College of Southern Utah was the setting for students stu-dents from high schools io show their ability in the vocations voca-tions of Business, Art, Home Ec, and Arts and Crafts. In the Commercial department depart-ment two type and shorthand teams were well qualified for the competition. The results will not be known for a couple of weeks. In the Arts and Crafts class Milford High had six first-place first-place entries: Greg White, Joyce Moore, Gary Tomsik, Sandra Wilcock, Steve Miller and Larry Reese. In the Art Department MHS had a fine display of pictures drawn by the students. The results have not been tallied as yet. Jonniel Aagard and Lois Hatch placed third in the Home Ec department for their entry, banana nut bread. A fashion show was presented present-ed by students from various high schools and students from CSU modeled costumes that were used in their Shakespearean Shakespear-ean plays. GUIDANCE TEACHERS GETS SCHOLARSHIP Mr. Reese Thomas, Milford High School student guidance director, has accepted a scholarship schol-arship from the Oregon State System of Higher Education, Portland. At this time Mr. Thomas will take some gradaute work which will aply toward his Masters Degree. While he and his family are in Oregon, expenses ex-penses will be paid by the National Defense Education Act. After completing the work, which will be from September to June, Mr. Thomas will return re-turn to the public schools of Utah. Mr. Thomas would like to express his appreciation to the students and faculty of Milford High for their great spirit which was shown during his stay in Milford.
