Show fight en route home, e Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre left last week for Los Angeles to visit their children, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Miles and children. chil-dren. O Penny Patterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins, and Larry Hollingshead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hollingshead, Hollings-head, were home from the University Uni-versity of Utah for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Merv Edwards are now living in Minersville after spending the winter in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. John Williams Wil-liams are in Phoenix, Ariz., attending at-tending the horse races. Bob Griffiths was home over the week end. , He is employed by the U P at Salt Lake. First place winner in the annual an-nual American Legion Auxiliary Auxil-iary Essay Contest was Adele Gillins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins. Gloria Craw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw, was awarded second sec-ond place. 9 Armina Banks is now at home after spending the winter This Week in MINERSVILLE as reported by GWEN PRYOR Ten Beaver High students from Minersville attended sessions ses-sions of the Utah State Legislature Legis-lature last week. They included includ-ed Marilyn Richards, Joyce Goff, Elaine Evans, Susan Gillins, Gil-lins, Irma Jean Blackburn, Deanna Potter, Justin Gray, Billy Ashley, Allen Dotson and Allen Jameson. O Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Martin of Las Vegas spent the week end here with Marvin's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dohn Martin. Mar-tin. Katy Hollingshead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead, Hol-lingshead, celebrated her fifth birthday Feb. 22nd. She enjoyed en-joyed a party with her many small friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Banks and family spent the week end in Las Vegas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Wood. While there they took in the Fullmer fight. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter enjoyed a trip to Phoenix, Ariz, last week. En route home they stopped in Las Vegas for the championship fight. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. Tex Marshall vacationed in Arizona last week, and enjoyed the Fullmer in Salt Lake and California with her children. Brent Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall, celebrated cele-brated his fourth birthday with a party on Feb. 24. e Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Lamb of St. George and Burnell Lamb and Kay Lamb of Henderson, Nev., visited Mr. and Mrs. Del-mar Del-mar Gray on Saturday. Also visiting the Grays were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gray and children chil-dren of St. George. Gladys Myers celebrated her birthday with a turkey dinner Feb. 26. All of her sisters and several of her children enjoyed the day with her. Kendall Eyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garold Eyre, also celebrated cele-brated a birthday on Feb. 26. He enjoyed a party with his classmates. |
