Show This Week in MINERSVILLE as reported by GVVEN PRYOR e Leah Ruth Hollingshead and son Wade have been vsiiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dalton. Her husband, Dee Hollingshead. Hol-lingshead. came to drive them back to Salt Lake, last Sunday. O Mr. and Mrs. Lee Smith and sons of Cedar City spent the week end here visiting Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Obra Myers. O Mr. and Mrs. Merve Edwards spent the week end visiting their children in Milford, Min-ersville Min-ersville and Beaver. They returned re-turned to St. George Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Fasset are vacationing in California. They have many friends and relatives there. e Literary Club was held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Feb. 13 at the home of Mrs. Lillian McKnight. A book report was given by Vivian Marshall. Melba Baker, was co-hostess for this event. S Mr. and Mrs. Rae Davis and Mrs. Chloe Davis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis of Beaver on a trip to Payson over the week end. Mrs. Chloe Davis will remain in Payson for a while to be with her daughter, Velma Davis Mc-Affee, Mc-Affee, who will undergo surgery sur-gery soon. O This seems to be birthday month in Minersville. Some of those celebrating birthdates are Leah Marshall, Gus Lambson, Stan McKnight, Joann Eyre, Dennice Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood; Robert Craw, son of ' Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw; Chad Dalton, - son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dalton. Mrs. Effie Marshall also celebrated cel-ebrated her birthday. A party given in her honor was attended attend-ed by all of her children, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Knight, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Messinger of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Don-ald Jones of South Milford; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Faye Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, all of Minersville. Virginia Carter and Gwen Pryor attended P.-T. A. Conference Con-ference in Cedar City Friday. Iron, Washington and Beaver Counties were represented and heard talks by State P.-T. A. officials from Salt Lake. A Seminary graduation ban quet was held in Beaver Monday Mon-day evening. Many parents from here accompanied their children to the affair. Those attending the American Ameri-can Legion Auxiliary District-Department District-Department meeting in Beaver Saturday were Ora Fothering-ham, Fothering-ham, Shirley Hollingshead, Effie Ef-fie Marshall, Phyllis Truman, Emily Gillins, Wilma Davis, Emma Davis, Pauline Wood, Aletha Gillins and LaNae Marshall. Sylvia Davis and Vivian Marshall will leave this week end for California where they will visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Corbrldge. Sylvia will also visit her children, chil-dren, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Thomas Thom-as and children and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Munk. O Visiting Mrs. Jennie Mar-quardson Mar-quardson this week are her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Horton of Ogden.
