Show were at the home of friends Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ruth over the week end. O Mr. and Mrs. Nils Johnson Jr. and two children left recently re-cently by jet plane for Hawaii. Ha-waii. Mr. Johnson is in the Coast Guard and will be stationed sta-tioned in Hawaii for the next two years. He had been serving serv-ing at Astoria, Oregon. Mrs. Genevieve Fowler and son Stephen and Miss Kather-ine Kather-ine Sheriff of Salt Lake spent a week in Milford at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sheriff. They also called on an uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Kate Heslington is back in Milford at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Griffiths, after aft-er spending the winter with another daughter, Mrs. May Johnson, in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. George Spain-hower Spain-hower and children of LaHab-ra, LaHab-ra, Calif., spent last week end in Milford with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Spainhow-er, Spainhow-er, and at the D. L. Kesler home. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Smyth of Provo were home for the Easter Eas-ter holidays, visiting parents Mr. and Mrs. Powell Smyth. PERSONALS a Mrs. Jennice Alberts is now at her home in Milford. Mrs. Susan Baxter is home after visiting her daughter, Virginia, in Salt Lake City. e Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Gray, who have been living in Lee Viling, Calif., have returned to Milford. Dr. and Mrs. D. A. Symond and daughter Lessa left Thursday Thurs-day for a few days' vacation in Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. George Boss of Salt Lake City - was a visitor with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cline, this week. Mrs. Mitchel White and children, chil-dren, accompanied by Mrs. Beniti Burke, drove to Denver last week. Mrs. White went to get her husband, who had been attending an A T & T school the past month, and Mrs. Burke visited with William Wil-liam McMillen and nieces while there. 9 Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Megill were Mrs. Megill's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Waller of Denver. Parents of Mr. Megill, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Megill Me-gill of Denver-,.- arrived Thursday Thurs-day of last week and left this (Thursday) morning for Denver, Den-ver, accompanied by the Eddie Megills. Eddie will spent a month at the AT&T school Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright and four children of Salt Lake were in Milford for Easter at the home of parents Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Burbidge, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright of South Milford. Mr and Mrs. Don Helwig have returned to Milford for the summer after spending the winter in California. Mrs. D. L. Kesler returned home Wednesday after being in Salt Lake since April 13 receiving medical care. She was at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Mary Jane Edwards. 9 Richard Thompson, former MiJford resident and son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Thompson of Provo, is now serving with the U S Army in Germany. His wife and daughter Melani are in Beaver with her parents. par-ents. Leaving from Milford May 4, to see the World's Fair in Seattle with the Old Timers tour are: Mr. and Mrs. Frank White, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yount Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Burbidge, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Weston, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Ashworth, Mrs. Wanda Holm, and Mrs. Marvel Connell, all of Milford. There will be another Tour on May the 12th and several more from Milford will be going then. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Whitta-ker Whitta-ker and children Curtis and Shaun of Provo were here for the Easter holidays at the homes of parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Young and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Whittaker. Shaun is the new addition in the Whittaker farmily, born a month ago. C Last week end house guests at the John Weston home were their daughter, Mrs. Beverly Palmer and two children of Las Vegas, and a grandson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Weston West-on of Provo. The latter were also at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edwards. Ed-wards. 9 Mrs. Lettie Fotheringham of Salt Lake is visiting in Beaver Beav-er County. In Milford she was at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis, and she also spent a few days in Beaver with Mrs. Jen Barton. 9 Mrs. Lillian fotheringham of Cedar City was in Milford last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tait and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Banks were in Enterprise last week end enjoying a Tait family get-together. get-together. Mr. and Mrs. Tait spent Saturday night with her parents in Gunlock. 9 Mrs. Ireta Fotheringham is in Milford for a few days at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter. Mrs. Fotheringham Fother-ingham recently returned from Hawaii where she spent the winter with her son Bill and family. Mr. and Mrs. Russ Larson of Anchorage, Alaska, spent last week with Mr. Larson's brother broth-er and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rolan Larson. e Mr. and Mrs. Roland Culver, Mr. and Mrs. Rolan Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Van Memmott spent Easter in St. George and enjoVed swimming at Dale. O Mrs. Del Holyoak is recover-erlng recover-erlng at her home from a compound com-pound fracture of the leg. Seven weeks ago while leaving her home she stepped on a slippery doorstep and fell. A sister, Mrs. Bertha Showalter of Cedar City, came to be with Mrs. Helyoak for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Les Clay are vacationing in the Eastern States. The Milford third grade class and teacher Mrs. George Smith motored to the Wah Wah Ranch Wednesday. Six private cars driven by parents trains-ported trains-ported the students on the educational ed-ucational trip. They winessed sheepshearing, and were shown how to brand and dehorn cattle. cat-tle. Mrs. Nelouise Schow was in Las Vegas last week to be with her father, Marvin Hughes, who had suffered a heart attack. He Is convalescing convalesc-ing in a Las Vegas hospital. Mrs. Schow was the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Williams. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McDowell Mc-Dowell of East Los Angeles, Calif., were in Milford this week. Mr. McDowell came to get a medical check-up. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Stott and four children of Logan were in Milford recently. They enjoyed a vacation trip to California, Cal-ifornia, leaving their children, with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Marion Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Stott. The Stotts called on Mr. and Mrs. David Griffiths in Martinez, while in California. 9 Mrs. Hannah Bealer of Salt Lake was in Milford this week end looking after her home and other business matters. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Long of Provo were in Milford at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Long.
