Show Brewers Association Notes Anniversary The one hundredth anniversary anniver-sary of the United States Brewers Brew-ers Association will be observed ob-served at the annual meeting of the Association's Utah Division Divi-sion at the Newhouse Hotel on Friday, April 27, John C. Campbell, Director, announced today. The meeting will be attended at-tended by brewers, brewery representatives and malt wholesalers whole-salers throughout the state. Among the speakers scheduled sched-uled to appear on the program are: Mr. Robert C. Dalton, Director, Field Service Department, Depart-ment, New York City, and Mr. Sidney B. Moeur, Western District Dis-trict Director, Phoenix, Ariz. A special feature of the centennial cen-tennial celebration will be the showing of the Association's new color film, "The Brewers' Heritage," which traces the history of beer and brewing in the United States from the time of the Pilgrims' arrival ar-rival on the Mayflower to the industry's present position among am-ong the country's leading industries. in-dustries. The United States Brewers Association, whose members produce eighty per cent of the malt beverages brewed in the country, is the nation's oldest incorporated trade association. Its Utah Division, established in 1957, cooperates with licensing licens-ing officials and law enforcement enforce-ment authorities in the main-tainence main-tainence of wholesome conditions condi-tions surrounding the sale of the malt beverages. |
