Show It has been good to see the diligence and devotion of church and civic and educational educa-tional leaders in working for the benefit and happiness and salvation of the people. If I have the choice of one final order to make as District Dis-trict Judge before retiring from the bench it will be this: "Let there be continued Rood- will and friendship, brotherhood brother-hood and integrity; devotion to truth and justice, and reverence rever-ence for God and His iaws in the hearts of all the people throughout the length and breadth of he Fifth Judicial District." Sincerely your fellow citizen Will L. Hoyt, District Judge. and a rich experience to serve as judge in this choice section of the great state of Utah in this good, free land of America. Amer-ica. It has been good to know the character and integrity of the people of this district; their loyalty to state and country coun-try and to the principles of justice, truth and righteousness. It has been good to observe their public spirit, their willingness will-ingness to devote time and talents and energy and means for the furtherance of the common com-mon good and for worthy community com-munity projects. It has been pleasant to travel tra-vel the highways of this scenic sunlit land, and to walk the streets of thse friendly cities and towns. It has been good to think of the faith and sacrifices sac-rifices of the pioneers and their descendants and followers and their efforts to make these valleys fruitful and baautiful and to build communities where goodwill and virtue and love of God and His laws would prevail. It is' eood to remember the courtesy and cooperation of members of the bar and officers of-ficers of the co'irt, of jurors and public officials and citizens citi-zens generally, and their cooperation co-operation with the court in administration of justice and maintenance of law and order. It has been good to see the willingness of lawyers and litigants lit-igants to settle quarrels and controversies: to avoid needless litigation and its resulting ill-will ill-will and anomosities. It has been good to know that in the Fifth Judicial District Dis-trict the rate of divorce has been less than one-half the rate in the state and the nation. na-tion. It has been gratifying to ''now that members of ths 'ar have b?en conscientious ad diligent in discouraging divorces and encouraging reconciliations re-conciliations in doing whatever what-ever could be done to relieve misunderstandings and to remedy rem-edy sources of domestic discord and marital unhappires. It has been gratifying to have had the generous helo and cooperation of judges of other districts of Utah in carrying car-rying on the work of the court in this district. It has been good to have the cooperation of newsmen and reporters in these communities com-munities and to witness their efforts to promote the welfare wel-fare of the people and the growth and development of the communities and the state. Statement of A ppreciation Since I am soon to retire from the position of District Judge of the Fifth Judicial District, I desire to express my grateful appreciation, and the grateful a-preciation of my wife and family for the privilege privi-lege which has been mine of serving in that office for the past twenty-five years.
