Show CSU OBSERVES FOUNDERS DAY Annual Founder's Day observance, ob-servance, Tuesday, March 20, at College of Southern Utah featured two Utah historians, Dr. A. R. Mortenson, University Univer-sity of Utah, and Dr. Everrett Cooley, Utah State Historical Society. CSU staff members, Tom Challis and Inez Cooper, co-chairmen co-chairmen of the event announced announ-ced that the theme for the one-day event is "We Honor Our Founders best by preserving preserv-ing a record of their accomplishments." accomp-lishments." The assembly program at 11 a.m., in the auditorium, will be addressed by Dr. Mor-tensen. Mor-tensen. This program is open to the public, according to the chairmen. A luncheon meeting will be held at noon for faculty fac-ulty and guests. History Workshop sessions will convene in the library loung at 2 p.m. for interested persons. Dr. Cooley will address ad-dress this general meeting and then the group will divide into three sections for discussion discus-sion of problems concerning the procurment and financing of valued historical documents. |
