Show F H A NEWS The F H A Club has held one meeting so far this year. They decided to hp-Id their meetings on Thursdays. They have not elected their officers yet, but will do so at their next meeting. A Regional FHA meeting was held in Beaver on Sept. 17th. Those attending from Milford were Lorna Hollingshead and Lola Lamb, with their advisor, Pat Rimpau. There were girls and advLors from Delta, Millard, Beaver, Milford, Cedar, Hurricane, Hurri-cane, Enterprise and Dixie. A good time was had by all. MID-TERM REPORTS A now innovation this year is the use of a mid-term report, which is mailed to parents of students who, in the opinion of faculty members, are not doing work commensurate with their grade or class. This is being done so that special spe-cial help may be given the student stu-dent through the cooperation of parent, student and school. It also gives the parent a check on their children's progress. MHS Hl-LIGHTS By the Milford High School Journalism Class SPORTS The Milford Tigers played their second league game against the Cedar City Redmen. Wednesday Wed-nesday was a disappointing night for the Tigers, who could not cope with the superior Redmen. Their star, Danny Lindsey, made the first three of six touchdowns. The game ended 41-0 in favor of the Redmen. The Tigers hope to aven.ge this 13 Friday night against Hurricane at Hurricane. The Milford club feels they are heading head-ing for a victory this Friday night. PEP RALLY Songs and yells were heard by all Wednesday night at 6:15 when the cheerleaders and students held a pep rally. The band also helped the activities. They started at the Drug Store corner, marched down Main street and up the school hill to the football field. There, they lined up in two lines, yelling and waiting for the team to come on the field. PEP ASSEMBLY The MHS student body participated par-ticipated in one of the most successful suc-cessful pep assemblies of the year. The cheerleaders really appreciate ap-preciate the help the students have given them this year. These peppy assemblies have helped the team along with the football spirit. NEW SPIRIT Have you noticed all of the fancy poster work that is being put up downtown and in the halls? This sort of thing certainly cer-tainly adds to the spirit of the school. We would like to extend thanks to Tommy Walker and Mrs. Lewis for this added enthusiasm. en-thusiasm. Also, there has been a lift of spirits in the pep assemblies and the football games. This lift was encouraged by the pep class of Mrs. Lewis. Keep up the good work girls' DANCE HELD AFTER CEDAR MILFORD GAME A large crowd attended the dance held Wednesday night after the ballgame.
