Show PRESIDENT McKAY TALKS TO YOUTH IN FIRSEIDE CHAT At a church fireside held Oct. 2 for the youth of the L D S Church the program from the General Board was carried out. In the First-Third Ward Church at Beaver the YMMMIA and Y W M I A presidents were in charge of the meeting. The program was as follows: Song, congregation, "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet" Prayer, Blaine Nichols. Youth chorus, "Come Listen to a Prophet's Voice" The narrator, Sharon Nichols, introduced the theme and explained ex-plained that the youth of the church wished to honor President Presi-dent and Mrs. McKay for the great examples they had set. Kay Root spoke, relating how Pres. McKay honors his parents. Speaker, Margaret Ann Whitta-ker, Whitta-ker, "Pres. McKay Honors Womanhood." Wom-anhood." Speaker, Kenneth Hollingshead, "Pres. McKay Respects Manhood." Man-hood." Speaker, Darryl Stevens, "Pres. McKay Honors His Wife." Song, "Love at Home" The narrator told the audience that at this time Mrs. McKay was listening to the program originating origi-nating from the Salt Lake Tabernacle, Tab-ernacle, at her home, and two of the youth of the church were at that time presenting her a bouquet bou-quet of flowers with the love and appreciation of the youth of the church. Speaker, Janet Williams, "We Honor Pres. McKay as a Poet," reading a poem written to Mrs. McKay by her husband. Speaker, Karen Hutchings, "Pres. McKay Recognizes the Importance of Home Life." Speaker, Michael Morris, "Pres McKay Loves Good Books." Speaker, Kathleen Reynolds, "Pres. McKay Loves'God and Devotes De-votes His Life to Him." Narrator: Those whose lives have been directly influenced by Pres. McKay and his wife are the grandchildren. Speaker, Billy Baker, "A 14 year old boy taking the part of the grandson, David A. McKay." Narrator: Pres. and Mrs. McKay Mc-Kay have been living examples of the ideal home." A young married couple, Mr. I and Mrs. Alan Gale pay tribute to the president of the church.
