Show Items of Interest About People You Know THE LADY TRAINMEN were entertained at the home of Mrs. Patsy Smith Monday evening with Mrs. Pat Nelson as co-hostess. Ladies enjoying canasta, bridge and pinochle were Mrs. ( Bobbie James, Mrs. Helen Leech, Mrs. Marge Mecham, Mrs. Verna Tom-sik, Tom-sik, Mrs. Phyllis Price, Mrs. Joan 'Holland, Mrs. Lillian Mellor, Mrs. Delia Whiteside, Mrs. Idonna Coleman and Mrs. Eva Cahill. Prizes were received by Mrs. James, bridge; Mrs. Whiteside, Canasta, and Mrs. Tomsik, pinochle. MR. AND MRS. HAROLD EDWARDS ED-WARDS announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary, to Mr. Gaiy Weston, son of Mrs. Aleda Weston of Salt Lake and grandson grand-son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Weston. Wes-ton. A June wedding is planned. The bride-elect is a Milford High School graduate, now attending attend-ing ihc CSU in Cedar City. Mr. Weston, also a Milford High School graduate, received his Associate cf Science degree at the CSU last spring and will enter en-ter the University of Uth in the fall of 1960. Mr. and Mrs. Roben Colborn have a new grandson, born Jan. 7 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Colborn III in Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Virginia Bedingfield entertained en-tertained her pinochle club Tuesday Tues-day evening. e Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bradshaw of Adamsville are now making their home in Milford, living in the Pete Banks rental home formerly for-merly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Claude Myers. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Horton are living in the home formerly occupied occu-pied by Mrs. Mable Turner at 50 West 800 South. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Griffiths have a new 7 lb 11 oz daughter, Cherly Ann, born Dec. 23 in Salt Lake. Mrs. John Griffiths, grandmother, grand-mother, has been in Salt Lake caring for Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths, Cherly Ann and Jerry Lee. e Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tribole returned re-turned to Milford Sunday after a pleasant visit in California with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Oak-ley Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. 'Frank J. Tribole, and friends Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Baharie. Another son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Tribole of Bountiful, joined the group in Long Beach. Also present was a friend of Mrs. Bill Tribole, s Mrs. Edna Lamb of Riverside, Calif., is spending two weeks in Milford at the home of her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lamb. . Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Johnson have purchased a new home recently recent-ly built by Keith Whittaker. Mr. and I.Irs. Rue Nielsen have returned from Salt Lake where they spent a few weeks after New Year's. Mrs. Louree Moore of Salt Lake made her annual trip to Milford to be with her friend, Mrs. Flossie Rickerson, on her birth anniversary anniver-sary Jan. 11. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Rolan Larson and children recently returned to Milford Mil-ford from a vacation trip to Leam-ington Leam-ington and Provo where they called on relatives. . Sir. and Mrs. Robert Colborn were in Cedar City over the week end at the home of friends Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stephenson. Mrs. Rose Watane of New Zealand. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Bolton were their son Dick and girl friend, Miss Dixie Gordon, both students at the BYU, and two sisters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ches-ley Ches-ley and three sons of LaCanada, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. John Burr of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Culver and family recently were in Idaho Falls calling on Mr. Culver's parents. par-ents. s Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Barnes announce an-nounce the birth of a new granddaughter, grand-daughter, bom to Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Barnes Jan. 9th at Fon-tana, Fon-tana, Calif. The Nathan Barnes also have a 13 year old daughter. Leland Beard of Salt Lake was here last week end. |
