Show Impressive Services Held For Agnes F. Williams Impressive and sympathetic services ser-vices for Mrs. Orrin (Agnes Fir-mage) Fir-mage) Williams, 48, were held Thursday afternoon of last week in Beaver First-Third LDS Ward chapel, with Bishop Walter Kerk-siek Kerk-siek in charge. The services were attended by a large number of relatives and friends who had been saddened by the sudden and untimely un-timely passing of Mrs. Williams from a heart attack about noon the preceding Monday. Mrs. Williams was a sister of Mrs. Pauline Rummler of Milford. The speakers for the services were former Stake President S. Taylor Farnsworth, Aird G. Merk-ley Merk-ley of Parowan, former Beaver resident; and Bishop Kerksiek. The prayer at the home was offered by Joe Kessler, the invocation at the chapel by Bishop Chase Murdock, the benediction by Grant Esplin, and the dedicatory prayer at Mountain Moun-tain View cemetery by Jim Morgan. Prelude and postlude music on I (Centinued on Back Page) i-IHRS'S MOP1E ABOUT Agnes Williams Continued from Fsge One organ and violin was by Clara Carter Car-ter and Linda Frince, and Mrs. Carter Car-ter played the accompaniment for the following musical numbers: a vocal duet by Anona Swindlehurst and Esta Cox; a male quartet number num-ber by Hal Lund, Sherman Carter, Ken Williams, and Kent Hansen; and a ladies trio- number by Carol Smith, Carol Carter, and Nell Smith. - LDS Primary and Relief Society workers cared for the floral offerings offer-ings and casket-bearers were Billie and Ray Lee Rummler, nephews, of Milford; Rue Swindlehurst, Jess Cartwright, Hal Lund, and Pershing Erickson. Among those from outside the county attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. C. Leroy Firmage, San Francisco, Calif.; E. D. Firmage, Fir-mage, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Firmage, Fir-mage, and Dave Allen Firmage, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cox and Mrs. F. L. Gray, Orem; and Cecil Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Arclen Williams, Ely, Nevada. In addition to these, there were many from Milford and Parowan, who were present to express sympathy sym-pathy and show the high regard they had for Mrs. Williams and the families. Agnes Firmage Williams was born March 2, 1911 to William A. and Pauline West Firmage, and was married to Orrin Williams August 11, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A member and active worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mrs. Williams had served a two-year mission in the Northwestern States and had been a faithful worker in ward Sunday School and Primary, also in the stake Sunday School. In the LDS Relief Society, she had been a visiting vis-iting teacher. Among other activities, activi-ties, she had served as a room mother in the Belknap TTA and at one time was an active worker in Beaver Business and Professional Womens club. Surviving her are her husband Orrin: a step-grandson. Billy, whom she loved and cared for as her own; her mother. Mrs. W. A. Firmage, Fir-mage, Beaver; two brothers, C. Leroy Le-roy Firmage, San Francisco, and William W. Firmage. Beaver; a sister. Mrs. J. C. (Pauline) Rummler, Rumm-ler, Milford; ad two step-sons, Cecil and Arden Williams, Ely, Nevada. |
