Show jjjmi 'nig Jm iJi mm THE BETTER HOMES Birthday Birth-day Club was held at the home of Mrs. Kate Willden, Wednesday Wednes-day evening. A hot lunch, observing the anniversary, was served to 19 members and guests, after which table games were played. Prizes were won by Lucille Hofheins and Ila Messinger. Serving on the committee for the enjoyable affair were Maur-ine Maur-ine Gale, Virginia Low, Clara Carter and Kate Willden. THE RELIEF SOCIETY Stake Board meeting was held Thursday, Thurs-day, Feb. 21, at the home of Mrs. Jessie Gunn. Welfare bulletins were assembled, assem-bled, for distribution to Beaver Stake families. The regular Union meeting will be held at Milford, Feb. 28. THE BEAVER BOOK CLUB met Wednesday evening at the Naomi Packard home, and heard a very interesting play, ''The Diary of Anne Frank," presented present-ed by Louise Farrer. THE BEAVER STUDY CLUB was entertained Thursday, Feb 21, at the home of Mrs. Mae C. White, with nine members pres cnt. Mrs. Lucy Osborne re viewed the book "Foolish Immortals," Im-mortals," by Paul Gallico. Cherry pie a la mode was served by the hostess. MRS. HATTIE SCHWAB entertained en-tertained the Modern Mothers Club at her home, last Thurs day. President Lois Messinger conducted the business meeting. Lois Messinger reviewed "The Life of John Sebastian," by Elbert El-bert Hubbard. Luncheon was served to 15 quests. MRS. HANNAH JONES entertained en-tertained her brid. club Mon day evening, at the El Bambi cafe. Prizes were won by Mrs 'Tplna McGarry, Mrs. Mary Tatiersall, Mrs. Vina Hutchings ind Mrs. Ruby McMullin. A tasty luncheon was served o the 12 members present. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roberts of Venice, Calif., spent several lays in Beaver with friends Mr. and Mrs. Cy Osborne. |
