By GRANT ESPLIN Beaver County Agent Last week two 4-H Club leaders lead-ers from Milford, Mrs. Bernice Smith and Mrs. Lois Moore, and the County Agent attended a state 4-H Club leaders' school at Logan. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Moore both said they got a great deal from the school and they were sorry that more Beavef-County Beavef-County leaders did not attenJ. Let's hope next year we will have a full carload of leaders from Beaver County in attendance. attend-ance. National 4-H Club Week is March 2 to 9. This indicates that it is time for 4-H Clubs to make plans and get organized organ-ized for another year's work. We want to increase the 19 enrollment over the 217 members mem-bers and 30 clubs of 1956. We would especially like to increase the number of boys enrolled in 4-H. Good leaders are the key to 4-H success. Any man or woman who would be willing to be a 4-H leader can contact the county agent or a member of the 4-H Council: Kova Al-brecht, Al-brecht, chairman; Frieda Wood, secretary, both of Minersville; Bernice Smith or Dora Walker, Milford; Mable Smith or Cliff Yardley, Beaver. The weather feels like spring and farmers will soon be planting plant-ing some of the early crops. Now is the time for farmers to obtain good seed. Certified seed is the best buy in the long run, even though it may cost more per pound.
