Show Milford CHURCH NEWS COLD AND GREEN BALL POSTPONED Milford's Gold and Green Ball, originally scheduled for Feb. 3, has bean postponed, according to Mrs. Floyd Oxk-y. The new date, not yet select, ed, will be announced soon, Mrs. Oxley said. WENDELL COLLIER NAMED TO BISHOPRIC Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Milford Second Ward fast and testimony meet ing, Wendell Collier was sustained sus-tained as second counselor, replacing replac-ing Don Alger who was released. Mr. Alger plans to move from Milford in the near future. Attending from the stake presidency presi-dency were President Wallace D. Yardley and J. C. Smith; High Couneilmen Earl Baldwin, Clair Rollins, Charles Jameson, George C. Goodwin and Floyd Oxley. SCOUTS PRESENT PROGRAM The Second Ward Boy Scouts presented the program Sunday evening. Receiving honor and merit badges were Tommy Hopkins, Hop-kins, Ronald Culver, Terry Lofthouse, Loft-house, Mike and Tommy Walker, Lynn Hatch, Tim Fisher, Darrell Roberts. Region Scouter Joseph Barney of Cedar City and District Scouter Sherman Carter of Beaver were present. TEACHER TRAINING CLASSES SCHEDULED Sunday, Feb. 8, at 11:45 a. m. the first of a series of special teacher training classes will be held in the L D S Seminary room. Nelda Memmott will be instructor in-structor for leaders of the various church organizations, and other interested persons are invited to attend. |
