Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSV1LLE By Marvbelle Eyre 9 Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thompson were here over the week end visiting vis-iting Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson. Thomp-son. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre spent the week end in Cedar City visiting visit-ing Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stephenson. Stephen-son. Mrs. .Merle Gillins was; hostess at a club party held Thursday evening eve-ning at her home. The 14 guests played pinochle, with prizes going to Lynnea Marshall, Sue Davis, and Barbara Carter. Following the game, the hostess served a plate lunch and plans were made to meet once a month. 9 Mrs. Effie Marshall and her children gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hunt at. Cedar Ce-dar City Monday evening to celebrate cele-brate Mr. Hunt's brith anniversary. anniver-sary. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murdock were in Salt Lake Sunday and Monday seeking medical attention for their daughter Raylene. A group of ladies met at the home of Marybelle Eyre Monday evening to make the annual Mothers Moth-ers March against polio. The group included Reva Albrecht, Frieda Wood, Nellie Hollingshead, Emily Dotson, Emily Gillins, Mary Gillins, Gil-lins, Elma Blackburn, Rachel Eyre, JoAn Eyre, Carla Eyre, Barbara Bar-bara Carter, Margie Thompson, Leola Gillins, Merle Bradfield, and Ilene Gray. After the ladies had canvassed the town they returned re-turned to Mrs. Eyre's home where they were served a light lunch and enjoyed visiting. Final deadline for dog licenses will be Feb. 1. The liense can be purchased at the office of the town clerk. Ralph Tanner of California arrived ar-rived Thursday to visit for a few days here and in Milford. He returned re-turned to California Thursday with his wife, Mrs. Nelda Tanner, accompanying him after she had visited some time with her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Nellie Eyre. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre and Bill Wood were in Salt Lake over the week end, ' on business. Mrs. Merlene Yardley and new son have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Gray. Mrs. Vera Hunter and two children have been here for a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Osborn and Kent Morgan visited this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Eyre. Mr. and Mrs. Sim Murdock attended at-tended the County Officials' Convention Con-vention in Salt Lake last Thursday and Friday. Mrs. Jeennie Marquardson, who has been in Ogden with her children chil-dren for some time, plans to return re-turn to Minersville early in February. Feb-ruary. A surprise wedding anniversary party honoring Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor was held Tuesday -vening at the Pryor home. |
