Show SANTA FINDS HIS BOOTS By Kathy Davis One morning Santa Claus woke and got himself dressed. He got everything on except his boots. He hunted for them everywhere. In the closet, under the chairs, under the bed, everywhere, but he could not find them. So he went in the kitchen and asked Mrs. Santa Claus if ,she could find them, but she couldn't find them either. He went to the workshop to see if the elfs had seen them, but they said "No, we never saw them at all, except last night by the fire." Then Santa said, "Oh I probably left them there and they burned up. Oh what shall I do? I burned my boots up and they were the only boots I had." Then he said, "Oh boy! I have an idea. I'll make some more boots." But when he went to the Workshop Work-shop the rubber was all gone. And so he felt very said. Then he remembered re-membered they were out in the sled, but he couldn't go out there, because he never had any boots or shoes on. So he went in the kitchen and asked Mrs. Santa Claus if he could borrow her shoes. She said "Okay." So he went out to the barn where the sleigh was, but they weren't there. He went back in the house, gave the slippers back to Mrs. Santa Claus and went in the front room to sit down. "Oh dear,' he said, "now I'll never find them." He got up and ran upstairs to read the letters he had gotten. He sat down to read them. He read, and read, and read, and finally he was through. He looked to see if he could see any more and there he saw his boots. His own precious pre-cious boots. He had hunted everywhere except ex-cept there. He was so happy that he jumped up and put them on. Then Christmas night he got in his sleigh and rode away. He gave every child something special. He was so happy. |
