Show THE SELFISH LITTLE GIRL By Sandra Wilcook Once there va-: a i:ttb girl named Carrol who .bought she .v'as very smart. Christinas w.u a month away anJ. Carrol was making her Christmas Christ-mas list of what she wanted. Same of the things were a doll, a doll house, a teddy bear, tour pairs of shoes, three dresses, a pencil box, and a whole lot of other things. Carrol went to her mother and gave her the list. Her mother said, "CsNrol, aren't you going to let your little sisters have anything?" Carrol said, "I want all of those things" and ran to her room. That night Carrol had a dream. It was about her and she was very poor and all she got for Christmas was a rag doll. That night a man came to her door and gave Carrol a beautiful dpll. ' Carrol went to the man and asked him why he gave her the doll, and he said, "The Christmas spirit is giving, not taking all the time." When Carrol woke up she ran to her mother and said, "Mother, I don't want all those things on the list, all I want is a doll and a pair of shoes. You can let Betty and Sue have the rest of the things on the list, because I had a very good dream last night." |
