' 4 i'2 cup butter or margarine j ',' : ' . . . 1 cup Beet Sugar ; ':" ' - 1 egg ! f- ' . v 1 cup seedless raisins, j x ; . , " finely ground j r '" ' ' l2 cup orange rind, finely - - ground t . . ; 14 cup lemon rind, finely ground I ' .1.; 1 teaspoon soda . . - t "'. 1 cup sour milk (1 cup -'. fresh milk plus 1 table- ' . .-"-i--. i.-. spoon lemon juice) ; - Z. jSJj. 2 cups sifted all-purpose j flour ! o Cream butler or margarine and Beet Sugar in bowl until fluffy. j Blend in egg. Mix in raisins and citrus rind's: Add the soda to j sour milk; stir in liquid alternately with flour. j e When well mixed, turn into Ughtly greased 9-inch square pan; j even batter. Bake in 350 F. oven about 45 minutes or until center 1 springs back when lightly touched. Remove from oven; pour over j top a blend of ! 'z cup Beet Sugar . j I'-i cup orange juice i tablespoon lemon juice , ( ! Serve warm with Light Orange Sauce. Sauce; 2 egg yolks Vz cup Beet Sugar Vi cup orange juice 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 cup whipping cream In saucepan beat egg yolks with the Beet Sugar. Blend in juice. I Cook mixture until thick about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool. Fold in whipped cream. Makes 3 cups. j Planning your Holiday entertaining?
