Other members present were Lucille Strong, Beverly Farrer, Far-rer, Marlys Bohn, Alta Paice and Estelle Baker. MEMBERS of the Beaver Book club were guests at the home of Airs. Vilda Smith Wednesday evening. Mrs. Floral Lee was in charge of the progrgam and had invited Mrs. Lucille B. Murdock to tell the ladies of her trip to Central America. A special guest was Mrs. Caroline Smith. Real Estate Tranfers Mr. and Mrs. John Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, formerly of Manderfield have purchased a home on North Main in Beaver from Miss Martha Louise Hurst. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead have purchased the home of Lydia Patterson. Mrs. Patterson is living with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gor-don F' ,re. Transferred to Texas First, T.t. Frank D. Man-7,ione. Man-7,ione. son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Manzione, recently arrived at Reese A F Base, Texas, for duty with the 3500th Pilot Training Wing. Lt. Manzione had been serving as weather forecaster at Stead A F Base, Nevada. on Wednesday, the night performance per-formance was enthusiastically received bv those who attended. attend-ed. The plav cast should be congratulated - and also may we extend a grateful hand to Mr. Neil Park. His untiring efforts were rewarded by an outstanding production. BEAVER PLAYS FINAL GAME As Beaver High School played their last game of the season Friday, Oct. 31, Dixie High defeated our Beaver Beavers in a hard fought game by a final score of 30 to 19. As the curtain falls on "Footbball for '58" ma)- we, as students, say "Congratulations team, you have been a team to be proud of; though you -( haven't won them ail we are proud to be 'Beavers'." SOPHOMORE CARNIVAL HELD In a brightly decorated gym Halloween at B II S was spent at the Sophomore Carnival. Classes worked hard on their booths and as each class and club had some sort of concession, conces-sion, both work and fun was had by all. Dancing followed the varie--r. ty show and those who attended attend-ed agreed the Class of '61 did a fine job in making their carnival car-nival a good one. , HARVEST BALL SCHEDULED Friday, Nov. 7, will be the date for the annual Harvest Ball sponsored by the FHA-and FHA-and FFA. Decorated in the fall theme, the gymnasium will be the spot for this social event. Announcement has not yet been made as to candidates for "Sweetheart of the FFA" but Senior and Junior girls who are members of the FHA are eligible lor this honor. SCHOOL PLAY HOLDS THREE PERFORMANCES "Green Valley," the school play, ran for three performances perform-ances this week. On Tuesday afternoon it was presented to the students and teachers of the Belknap school. On Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon our cvn stu-dent stu-dent body enjoyed it, and also |
