Show Beaver, Milford, Plan To Observe National Education Week American Education Week, Nov. 9 to 15, is a time for citizens citi-zens to turn their thinking to the .responsibility of meeting the needs of their local shools. It is fitting that they measure the calibre of the schools they now have in terms of what they desire for boys and girls in the future. The sponsors of American Education Week, the P.-T. A., U S Office of Education, National Na-tional Education Association, and The American Legion, point out the purposes of Education Ed-ucation Week this year as: To encourage and strengthen school - community relationship; relation-ship; to extend public appreciation appre-ciation and understanding of education ; to interpret the school program to the parents, and to portray the needs and problems of the schools. In Beaver, the Education Week program starts Sunday, Nov. 9, with each ward bishop being asked to speak on Education. Edu-cation. All veterans are urged to participate. partici-pate. The parade will assemble north of the High School. y Immediately following the parade, an interesting program will lie presented in the High School auditorium followed by a hot turkey dinner in the lunchroom, under direction ol the Legion Auxiliary. Thursday and Friday school will be dismissed at noon, for the annual parent consulta-tionss. consulta-tionss. Thursday afternoon parents of transported students will be received by the teachers, teach-ers, and Beaver parents will visit the school Friday aftci noon. , During the same time, the Beaver' P.-T. A. will conduit a membership drive. |
