Show BEAVER Personal Mention Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Parkinson, Park-inson, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Funk and Mr. and Mrs. Tames Boyce and babies were dinner din-ner guests Thursday, Aug. 28, ' at the home of Mr. and' Mrs. Hugh Robinson in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and family of California were recent visitors at the homes of 'Mr. and Mrs. Neil Neilsen and Mr. and Mrs. Bcr-nard Bcr-nard Walker-. Wells Murdock returned to Phoenix with his brother Bill, following funeral services for their sister, Mrs. Berniece Brooke, and will spend a week with his niece, Mrs. Bett Whctton and family. Bob Calvert has been a frequent fre-quent visitor at home while working at Brycc Canyon this summer. He will enroll at the University of Utah to continue con-tinue his law studies. Mr. and Mrs. James Riley and son Albert enjoyed a week end at Kanab and Glen Canyon Dam. They spent Sunday with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Wayne Rosen-dahl Rosen-dahl and family in Kanab, then Monday drove to the dam where they enjoyed a guided tour of the installation. Douglas, Sandra and Bob Hickman, children of Gerald Hickman of Milford, spent three weeks in Beaver at the home of their aunt, Mrs. Erma Smith. While here they ac-companid ac-companid Mrs. Smith and their father to Salt Lake to attend reunions of the Des Hid man, and Skillicorn and Winn families. Mrs. Rhoda Browner and three children left Monday for their home in Norwalk. Cal., after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob. Other visitors at the Schwob home the past week were Joseph 1 tasert of New York City, a native of Germany who was sponsored to the U S six years ago by Mr. and Mrs. Schwob," and Mrs. Schwob's sister, Mrs. Nellie Griffiths of Caliente, who spent two weeks here Their son Lewis was home for the week end and Mrs. Vclla Stephenson of Cedar City spent last Sunday with them. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Beebe (Cherie Smith) were overnight over-night guests of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Leon A. Smith, recently, and while here they attended the reception for newlyvveds Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Mer-rill Yardley. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Low left Wednesday to spend a week in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith were in J'rovo last week end to attend the family reunion held by descendants of Charles Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Parkinson Park-inson enjoyed visits from their daughters and families over the Labor Day week end. Present were Mr. and Mrs. James Boyce and daughter Becky of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Funk and daughter Tammv of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Hickman Hick-man and sons Tod and Tracy, Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. John R. Lister and family of 'aragonah. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ash-wort Ash-wort li of Ruth, Nev., spent the Labor Day week- end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ashworth, and while here enjoyed en-joyed participating in the Ashworth family reunion. |
