Show Berniece Brooke Funeral services for Berniece Ber-niece M. Brooke, 63, who died August 28 of a heart attack, were conducted Monday, Sept. 1, in the Beaver First-Third Ward Chapel, under direction of Bishop Walter Kerksick. Bishop Kerksick offered the prayer at the home preceding the services. The invocation was by Gilbert Gil-bert Yardley. Musical numbers num-bers were a duet by Hal and Nell Smith, and a vocal solo by Karl Farnsworth. Speakers were William E. White and Carlos Murdock. Beavj March 8, 1895. to Charles L. and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Cartwright Murdock. .She attended school in Beaver, Bea-ver, California, and Missouri. In April, 1916, she married W illiam T. Brooke in California. Cali-fornia. Mrs. Brooke had served several sev-eral terms as Beaver City Recorder, Re-corder, and was active in the Republican party. She was a member of the L D S Church, D IT P, and American Legion Auxiliary. For the past ten years she had spent much of her time in California and Arizona, and maintained an active interest through her grandchildren in P.-T. A. work. Surviving are the following children : Betty B. Whetton, and Bill T. Murdock, Phoenix, Ariz,; Catherine B. Hughes, Ogden ; brothers Charles E., Wells C. and John W. Murdock, Mur-dock, Beaver; and Wilford R. Murdock, Monroe; and six grandchildren. Among those attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. DeWolfe Murdock and daughter of Highland, Calif.; Mrs. Larry Utley and Mrs. Dave Larson, Llenderson, Nev. ; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Miller, Barstow, Calif.;. Mr. and Mrs. Gray Tanner, Salt Lake; Mrs. Lewis Lew-is Giles, Mrs. Charles Sokolik. Mrs. PI. J. White and Mrs, XV. E. Lindquist, Ogden. |
