Nineteen friends and rela-tives rela-tives were present to enjoy the occasion. Miss White is spending the summer in Beaver Beav-er at the home of Bishop -,nd Mrs. Walter Kerksiek. MRS. FrtiE HOLLINGSHEAD HOLLINGS-HEAD was a recent hostess to her sewing club. Present to enjoy an evening of sewing were Vilda Esplin, G w e n Lund, Gae Seaman, Dorothy Johnson, Nell Smith, Melba Gregersen, Jewell Williams, Ella Firmage, and a guest, Ann Eyre. MONDAY EVENING Mrs. i Beverly Farfer and Mrs. Alta ! Paice were cohostesses for their club, which met at Pon-derosa Pon-derosa Park. They served a delicious chicken dinner to members Betty Smith, Colleen Col-leen Boyter, Anna Lu Goodwin, Good-win, Peggy Stapley, Janell Farrer, Lucille Strong, Dona Cartwright, M a r 1 y s Bohn, Barbara Bradshaw, a new member, Estelle Baker, and three guests, Va Loy Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Erma Neilsen, and Le-ora Le-ora McCulley of Milford. i Mr. and Mrs. Jim Holyoak and sons of Las Vegas were home for a visit last week with Kent Morgan and family. THE MODERN MOTHERS MOTH-ERS CLUB held their annual outdoor party with their husbands hus-bands last Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ed-win Smith. A delicious ham supper was served to Myrtle and Laban Burt, Darl and Albert Smith, Zelma and Albert Muir, Edith and Roy Harris, Kate and George Murdock, Euzell and Dick Thomas, Maude and Hans Christiansen, Hattie and Otto Schwob, Lila and Andrew An-drew Terry, Mark and Ethel Woolsey, Belle and Robert White, Ruth Paice, Isabelle Muir, and a guest, Kent Morgan. Mor-gan. ....THE U S POSTAL employes em-ployes of Beaver gave a party Thursday night of last week in honor of Jim Lewis, Dick Thomas and Ira Baldwin Sr., former employes who have retired. A ham supper was served at Ponderosa Park to the guests of honor and their wives, and Postmaster and Mrs. Joseph A. Manzione, Ruby McMullin, McMul-lin, Annabelle Hales, Mr. and j Mrs. Alton Atkin, Mr. and Mrs. McKay Farrer, and Mr. and Mrs. Acel Gillies. MRS. CAROL WRIGHT entertained her club Wednesday Wednes-day evening, July 16. The evening was spent playing rook and prizes were won by Gerry Smith, Ann Eyre and Glenna Osborn. Other members present were LoAnn Smith, Faye Hollingshead, Hollings-head, Helen Cartwright, Irene Davis, Virginia Ashworth and guests Sheila Blackburn, Son-ya Son-ya Hollingshead and Mrs. Osborn. Os-born. Mrs. Dorothy Williams arrived ar-rived in Beaver last week after aft-er spending the winter in San Francisco. Her brother Ralph accompanied her home and remained re-mained for a week's visit. Thomas Williams of St. George spent the past week end with her here. |
