Show Items of Interest About People You Know in Milford PINOCHLE was played at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Morris last Thursday evening by Mrs. Hilda Shields, Mrs. Mary McCulley, Mrs. Lois Moore, Mrs. Margaret Lund, Mrs. Marion Miller, Mrs. Charlotte Wise and Mrs. Cleo Labrum. Prizes were won by Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Wise and Mrs. Lund. I Neil Smyth, student at the C S U, was in Milford over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gale are making mak-ing their home in Milford. They have purchased the La Verne Patterson Pat-terson home. Mr. Gale is U P section foreman at Black Rock. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Low are I living in theBruce Fotheringham home at 557 West Center. Jack K. Allred and family are living in one of the Hughes apartments. Mr. Allred is contractor con-tractor for the new Milford Elementary Ele-mentary School building. Mrs. Bernice Stewart returned to her home in Milford after spending a week in Salt Lake with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Carson. Iola Young will enroll at the C S U summer school where she plans to take a six-week business course. She will enroll at Snow College in the fall. Barbara Thompson left for Salt Lake to seek employment for the summer. Gale Anderson will be employed this summer at Riverside, Calif., with the iU P signal department. Mrs. George K. Smith plans to attend summer school at the U of U in Salt Lake. She will toe at the home of a sister, Mrs. Beth Lund. News was received Friday, May 16, by Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe of the birth of a new grandson, 'born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Leeper in Rialto, Calif. The Leep-ers Leep-ers now have two daughters and two sons. Mrs. Jean Shields is in Long Beach, Calif., with relatives. Mrs. Shields' two children are staying at the home of their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe, until she returns. Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Briscoe have been tn Milford the past week at the homes of the Lyle Apple-gates Apple-gates and the Ben Briscoes. They attended 'funeral services in Salt Lake last Monday for Richard Shields. Mrs. Reva Brown and son Scott left for their home in 'Ely, Nev., after spending a few days with t brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Bradfield. The group motored to St. George one day last week where they called on Mrs. Bradfield's and Mrs. Brown's mother, Mrs. Graham McOallister. when a 6 lb 13 oz son, Keith R., was born in a Price hospital. Mrs. Vera Cooper and daughters daugh-ters Sheila and Anna Rae are planning plan-ning to leave for Southern California Cali-fornia soon, where thev will visit- Mrs. Wanda Munk and son Kenneth Ken-neth are in California for a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Munk. Mrs. Munk will return re-turn to Milford after a week's visit and Kenneth plans to remain for a longer vacation. friends and relatives. Sheila will remain for the summer, returning in the fall to enroll at C S U. Clinton Bond, Mrs. Rae Thompson Thomp-son and son Brian will attend graduation exercises at the U S U Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Puffer rein re-in Logan, where Mrs. Bond will be one of the graduates. Dr. and Mrs. G. C. Clarke and family of Glendale, Calif., are here for a week's visit with Dr. and Mrs. David Symond. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Long and two sons were in Provo last week end. Lawrence Easton of Mesquite, Nev., was in Milford for a brief visit with old friends on Wednesday. Wednes-day. George Jefferson returned to Milford Tuesday night from a Salt Lake Hospital, and is convalescing convalesc-ing at his home after a serious illness. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Cox are telling friends of the birth of a 'boy May 11, to Mr. and Mrs. William Cox Jr. in Portland, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Williams of Sedalia, Mo., are expected in Milford this week. They will be house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Les-ter Williams. Mrs. W. G. White left this week for San Pedro, Calif., to spend the Memorial holidays. Randy Morris, who is stationed at China 1-fl.ke, Calif., with the U S Navy, was in Milford recently at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Morris. Jackie Hutchings has returned to Milford after visiting her stepfather step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Barnes of Richmond, and a brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Shepherd in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gillies and sons Craig, Kevin and Bryan, of Pocatello, Idaho, will spend the Memorial holidays in Milford at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline and Mrs. Edith Osborn motored to Salt Lake last Saturday. The Clines were on a business trip and Mrs. Osborn remained in the Capital Cap-ital City to spend a few weeks with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Osborn. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 'Luis Jimenez were their sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jimenez and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Jimenez and three daughters, all of Salt ljake.
