Show Talk to Chart Plan For South Utah Growth A conference for development of Southern Utah economic resources re-sources will be held June 11 in Cedar City, it was announced Tuesday. Sponsored jointly by the Utah Industrial and Employment Planning Plan-ning Committee and Five-County Organization, the conference will be aimed at a discussion of the industrial in-dustrial and economic growth in Southern Utah. . Robert S. Welch, member of the Utah State Department of Employment Security, said the meeting would be the first regional region-al conference of its type in Utah and is an outgrowth of similar statewide meetings held annually in Salt Lake. Among those taking part will be Ames K. Bagley, executive secretary sec-retary of the Utah Manufacturers Ass'n.; Jay Bingham, director of the Utah Water & Power Board; Ellis Armstrong, Utah State Highway High-way director; W. C. Palfreyman, program director for the Utah Committee on Industrial and Employment Em-ployment Planning; Otto Wiesley, chairman of the Utah Industrial j Commission; D. James Cannon, director of the Utah Tourist and Publicity Council; and Dr. Carl Frischknecht, director of the Utah State University Extension Service. |
